402 - Failing Down

Characters come and characters go, but one thing's for sure: we won't miss you, Henry. Goodbye!

As for Drue Valentine... what do you all think? On first introduction, Charles isn't so sure, but Traci wants him to wait for the Abby Morgan-like drama he's sure to stir up among our Capeside crew. Not saying that's what's going to make him likable, but things will definitely get interesting...

  1. Charles discussing Mitch's changing occupations was spot on! I literally thought about the exact same stuff when it the episode originally aired. So...Mitch is a guidance counselor now? Wasn't he just managing his own fish restaurant. Not to spoil more of season 4 but...you'll notice him also wearing his other hats as the season progresses. Mitch = most underrated character in Creek history!

  2. So funny that you were talking about the backless shirts. I so wore them in the Dawson years. I was skinny and in college, and they were perfect going out tops!
Also, I think Mrs Valentine didn’t know who Joey was or the family history because they had just moved to town.

    1. Fair point about Mrs. Valentine. We hadn't even thought about that!

  3. I think it was easy for Pacey to not know he failed his classes, sometime you can be doing okay leading up finals but if your final is worth a lot and you tank it then you can fail the class, he might not have realized how bad he tanked his finals. Also if you remember at the end of season 3 he didn't really study for his finals. I also think the difference between how pacey reacts to school with Andie is he never really had to worry about Andie leaving him behind whereas with Joey, he knew that it was always her plan to leave capside and i think he feel like he's bring Joey down. Joey's only escape is through school and pacey is aware of that.

    1. That's true - the situation with Andie is so different, and now they're at this point in their lives where leaving Capeside is more of a reality, it's more terrifying for Pacey!
